About

The Young Adult and Young Family Ministry at Centerpoint Church is part of our initiative to target stages of life more effectively. We strive to provide resources, programs, and service opportunities that ensure that the needs of everyone are met.

The Young Adult and Family Ministry has growing and thriving programs for Small Groups, as well a number of gatherings and resources for parents of young children. As this ministry continues to develop, we look forward to having many more opportunities for young men and women in college as well as for young couples. We want not only to provide for your spiritual and relational needs, but also to help you grow and serve others in the name of Jesus.

Meet the Leaders

Ryan Strange is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, but has spent time living in a total of seven different states. Nevertheless, Indianapolis was always home for him; which is why he is still a diehard Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Hoosiers (basketball) fan. He received my Bachelor’s Degree from Taylor University and his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. His hobbies are watching a good show, reading a good book, playing video games, and spending time with his family.

When he was in college, he started out as a Bible major. That interest later turned into a passion, which turned into a calling. Every time Ryan looked elsewhere, or investigated different vocations, the door always slammed shut. There was just a point when he felt that his call was inescapable, and he surrendered to the Lord’s will.

Over the years, that call has been refined. Ryan started as a solo pastor at a church of 20, and has had various roles in other churches prior to his arrival at Centerpoint. What has remained constant is his passion for preaching the Word and for equipping believers, particularly young men and women, to be the ministers that the Lord has called them to be.

In 2015, Ryan met his wife, Alison, and they were married in February of the next year. She is truly a partner in ministry.

Alison grew up in Santa Clarita, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. At 18, she moved to New York to attend Nyack College, where she majored in Communications and minored in theatre. While a student at Nyack, Alison served as an RA and developed a passion for mentoring young women. In 2013, she was hired as the Area Coordinator of her former woman’s dorm. She later took a job at Roberts Wesleyan College as the Administrative Assistant for the Cultural Life Center where she found ways to invest in the lives of the college students who crossed her path. Since leaving full-time work to stay home with their two young children, Alison has continued to find ways serve and mentor young women, encouraging them to grow deeper in their faith and discover and live out the calling Christ has placed on their life.
