In 1st Thessalonians 2:8 Paul writes: “Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our lives as well.” This is the purpose of Student Ministry at Centerpoint Church: we are sharing our lives with one another as we all seek to grow closer to Jesus.
At Centerpoint, we understand how each Middle and High School student is asking questions like, “Who am I? What is my place? Where do I belong?” This is why we feel so passionately about being there for students to provide a safe place to ask those questions and submit that Jesus can help us answer them. We can’t imagine growing up without adults who show up in one another’s life, believe in you, and encourage you when things get rough.
Practically, this means that our programming and planning are meant to build relationships with one another. Each student is separated into a small group, separated by gender and grade, in order to grow deeper with relationships that you are developing over time. Student Ministry involves weekly meetings as well as outside events. All of this is seeking to grow in our relationship with Christ, asking the question: What does it look like for me to become more and more Christlike?
